Rehabilitation

Rehab at the Rouse

For years, the Rouse Home has been Warren County’s leading long-term care provider of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. Our skilled therapists focus on providing the highest quality of care possible and strive to return each resident to his or her highest level of independence. Our ultimate goal is to help you return home as soon as possible.  The Rouse Home’s Rehabilitation Department concentrates on treating the whole person, not just the person’s symptoms. Our method for doing so involves a multi-disciplinary team approach, which includes Doctors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Nursing Staff, Dietitians and other Specialists. Together, the team determines what the resident needs, both physically and emotionally. The resident and the rehabilitation team set aggressive but realistic treatment goals, and identify barriers for a successful discharge home, if appropriate.

Our Rehab Services

Our Rehabilitation Department provides high-acuity nursing care for post-acute, clinically complex patients. Individuals who are admitted for short-term rehabilitation have an average length of stay that is only two to four weeks, prior to a discharge order. The Rouse Home is proud to report that approximately 60 percent of individuals admitted for a short-term, rehabilitative stay return to an independent lifestyle. Our commitment to excellence is evidenced through the staff we employ and the services we provide. Our in-house Rehabilitation Department is able to treat a wide variety of disorders, conditions and complex diagnoses, including:

  • Post-Op Orthopedic Surgeries (Hip and Knee replacements)
  • Amputations
  • Cardiac Conditions
  • Neuromuscular Conditions
  • Strokes
  • Arthritis
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Back Pain and Spinal Surgeries
  • Swallowing Diagnoses
  • COPD
  • Fractures
  • Head Injuries
